EPSS 298: Geodetic Control Networks

We consider the problem of deriving the latitude, longitude, and radii of certain features on a planetary body from a collection of optical or radar images. These features are called control points and their union forms a geodetic control network. We will also be consider the problem of deriving a precise orientation model for the planetary body, including the orientation of its spin axis and its spin rate, which may be variable in time.

This course is intended for graduate students and advanced undergraduates.
